Junk food is not prepared food.

it's SUPPLIMENTAL, meaning that SNAP is not supposed to buy all of your food. Nutritional, meaning what you buy with it is supposed to be nutritious. Assistance, help but you have to do your part too. plenty of canned and non refrigerated meals that don't have to be cooked to eat them. sure they are better tasting hot but, they are perfectly safe to eat right out of the can or package for homeless people. Fruits, vegetables can be eaten raw. lunch meat and cheese doesn't require cooking. Soda, energy drinks, Candy, Snack cakes are empty calories, not nutritious, therefore not what SNAP is for.
